Plow and Hearth, LLC E-mail Marketing Manager - Children's Group in Madison, Virginia

Position Summary: The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and driving email marketing initiatives and strategy for multiple Children's brands. Specifically, the Email Marketing Manager will create marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention, and continuously experiment with new ideas and hypothesis to drive growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop data driven email marketing plan.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, development, and execution of email marketing programs
  • Manage email lists and ability to do complex segmentation and programs per deployment requirements
  • Partner with in-house creative and merchandising teams to optimize current email strategy and launch new emails to increase engagement, leveraging subject lines, copy, imagery, and offers
  • Create benchmarks and track performance across email metrics
  • Build and implement an ongoing test strategy with email KPIs
  • Develop a strategy to grow our email subscriber base while maintaining list health and performance
  • Maintain email best practices to share with stakeholders across the organization
  • Track/monitor/stay current on best practices
  • Assisting in email reporting, deliverability and analysis
  • Support marketing team with ad-hoc requests
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below represent the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, to perform job function:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing or a Business related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in digital and email marketing
  • Knowledge of best practices for email marketing and deliverability
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and meets critical deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with HTML, with the ability to edit existing html within email templates, and ensure that all aspects of each email communication are displayed correctly across platforms
  • Excellent computer skills, to include; MS Office Suite
  • Some experience with Photoshop preferred
  • Familiarity with personalized communication in broad set of digital and social platforms preferred
  • Effectively resolve problems and/or roadblocks and knowing when to escalate
  • Work well under tight deadlines, able to respond quickly to ad hoc requests and changes
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Team player with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Silverpop, Exact Target or other email service providers is a plus
